Dear Pittsburgh Picklers,

Even with 2020’s disappointing moments, we certainly had our fair share of achievements that brought us pride and joy. We hope that by sharing what we’ve accomplished and what we have planned, we’ll provide a small sense of reassurance and hope for normal life to soon return.

2020 sure had its ups and downs, but our biggest disappointment was the cancellation of Picklesburgh. The pickle-themed event is something we look forward to each year, and we missed not being able to interact with all of you. Especially after being named USA Today’s Best Specialty Food Show in America, we had plans that would have made this Picklesburgh the best one yet.

Rest assured Picklesburgh will return, and we’ll have those plans ready to go when it does. Trust us, whenever that is, you won’t want to miss it.

A New Product

For years, we’ve used Picklesburgh to help us launch our new products. However, without the event, we decided to launch our new product anyway and introduced the world to our line of hot sauces, PECK.

If Pittsburgh Pickle Company picked a PECK of pickled peppers, where’s the peck of pickled peppers Pittsburgh Pickle Company picked? In the bottles below!

Since we launched these, folks have been telling us they’re using the sauces morning, noon, and night. If you’re looking to add a little zing to any dish, add a Peck of hot sauce!

We’re already working on our next exciting product and hope to release it at Picklesburgh 2021. Make sure to follow our social channels for hints regarding what it might be!

The Best Bloody Mary is a Briney Mary

Our biggest achievement by far this year was having our Briney Mary receive the highest score in the Drunken Tomato Awards. If you’re unfamiliar, the Drunken Tomato Awards are an annual Bloody Mary competition where a team of experts samples Bloody mixes in a blind taste test. And, yes, they gave our Briney Mary the highest overall score!

We were so proud we even updated the label to reflect it! Our Briney Mary is now sold in 50+ Fine Wine and Good Spirits, Market Districts, and it’s even a top 5 selling Bloody Mary mix on Amazon! As much as we love making pickles, we’re extremely proud to make a nationally recognized Bloody Mary mix with our signature pickle brine.

Expanding our Footprint

Another great achievement for us was teaming up with Weis Markets. The grocery chain canvases the middle of PA and even expands into NY and MD. With their help, we now have our pickles on their shelves across the region!

Please look for our products in those stores. We’ll be working with their team in 2021 to run some exclusive sales, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for that too!

Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021

Although 2020 wasn’t all bad, we’re definitely ready to put this year behind us. Thank you to anyone who read this note in its entirety, and everyone who continues to support our brand. As a token of our gratitude, please use the promo code “PPCintro” on Amazon to receive 10% off our pickles and Briney Mary through the end of January. We love what we do, and we’re excited to continue that into 2021. Happy New Year, Pittsburgh Picklers!
